About Reading, About $$, About Akmal, About MAID (who else so muntah-kedarah?)

I've been reading lots of blogs lately. From relatives' to friends' to local celebs'. Found lots of interesting info. Been too hooked on this blog thingy that the Straits Times from last week have all been in my room, by my bed, untouched. Teruk eh?

The whole of last week I was without any sales appointment at all. No appointment, means no deal closed. No closing, means no $$. No $$, means can't go to Levi's sale at Ngee Ann City till 12 Mar. Haha! Just kidding. $$ earned is for survival...How? Someone, please be nice enough to refer me to another someone for purchase of insurance lah. I'm dyinggggg...I can't afford to let go this job, or else, all my clients whom I've had since 1996, will be assigned to my colleagues who are all cina-babi. I mean it. Not to mention the comfortable little $$ that I get every month even if I don't have any new sales.

Enough about work...This afternoon, when I picked Aqil and Akmal from school, I noticed Akmal walking with his female classmate; walking closely and talking with sheepish smiles. That gal is Ayuni, the one who gave him a heart-shaped drawing in the 2nd week of school. When we reached home, he was still smiling. So I asked him what conversation did he have with Ayuni till he got excited. He said "Takde apa-apa lah." Then he flashed me his trademark "kembang" smile. When it was time to do his Maths assessment book, he did lots of careless mistakes, which was very highly-unusual. Hmm...Hope he wasn't thinking of gals. It's really difficult to say cos kids nowadays are different from my time. During my time, all we knew was to play catching, hop-scotch, "jelon" and "yeay-yeay". We never even thought about the opposite gender, let alone to dress up and style our hair. Kids nowadays choose what to wear for family outings, gel up their hair even for school, catch glances whenever cute little gals walk past..And, Aryna, who is only 2 years and almost-2-months old, already knows which make-up is for which part of her face. Jialat! So aeons different from my time. During my time, when my mum told me not to do something, I would just not do it without asking why I could not do it. Today's kids, you tell them the same thing, they will ask back "Why?".. Parenthood has changed. My mum always tells me that all her 12 children were very well-behaved and quiet when we were all very young. Compared to my kids and Kak Ijan's, really vast difference. How?

I'll be sending my maid back in a matter of time. Soon. Akan datang. Please help me pray that I can get a good replacement. By saying good, I mean, no day-dreaming, can function without me having to "press button" all the time, CLEAN, HYGIENIC, responsible towards my kids, no yik-yakking, no gossiping, etc..My present maid can golek-golek in the living room just like Aryna, even when me and hubby at home. How? When Aryna went out with the Daddy to pick Afif from school, just left maid and me alone at home, maid sat in front of me, like 5 steps away from me, playing with her hair and kuku. I don't mind if she wants to relax after all work is done but she can relax in the kitchen or in her room; not in front of me, flipping her hair and twiddling with her kuku..How? After washing up Aryna, she will use Aryna's towel to wipe her face and neck. How? Kena sound already but still like that. Macam bodoh tak faham bahasa orang gitu..How? So people, please pray for my next maid to be a much better one than this.

Kena Tagged? Aiyoyo...

To: Nazira...with love...Woit! Ni benda tag untuk korang2 yang masih single lah, bukan untuk orang macam makcik kamu ni yang dah ber-suami, ber-anak, ber-uban & ber-lain-lain yang sewaktu dengannya. I've found my perfect man lah. If not, takkan sampai dah ber-deret 4 anak, kan kan kan? Anyway, these are the 7 requisites that made me said YES to him:-

1) Kind, loving, handsome & smiling always
2) Willing to learn Islam, convert to Islam and practise the teachings of Islam diligently
3) Paying for my shopping and my meals, without fail
4) For being Teijpall Singh
5) For also being Ahmad Syafiq
6) For also also being Paul
7) For NOT being a Malay guy!!

Nah...See? I've found my perfect man sampai dah tak tau nak cakap apa lagi..I will not chain-tag orang lain lah. Kesian.

To: Hilmi...Welcome to the world of Bloggers..Dah ada blog tu, rajin-rajinlah update, ya? But don't forget to study hard for your 'O's too.

I can't think of what to blog now cos it's 6.30pm and I have not finished my work and get ready for tahlil at Hotel 944. So, till the next post, bye-bye.

Bus Trip to & from KL? What a Bore...

"See what I've told you?" I asked exasperatedly. "What did you tell me?" Akmal asked curiously. "Mummy dah cakap, naik bas go KL lambat and boring," I said. In the end, both Aqil and Akmal agreed in unison that the whole bus journey was a long, a tiring and a boring one. Afif has no comments cos he slept 3/4 of the journey, to and fro. The next time we go will either be a drive-up or if $$ permits, take AirAsia from Senai airport. I'm not the kind of person who can sit still for more than two hours so I truly find the journey stressful.

Anyway, once in KL, upon checking-in at Hotel Melia, the 3 boys got all excited. The Mummy got excited too. Apa ke tidak? Sebelah hotel, ada Starbucks..Depan hotel is the LRT station and Berjaya Times Square. Belakang hotel, is Bukit Bintang area. I was not so into shopping. With 3 kids in tow, who has 100% mood to shop? The holiday trip was meant for them, anyway. Therefore, the Daddy and I, didn't really get to eat proper food too as all the kids wanted was fast-food. Not forgetting Famous Amos (cheaper than in S'pore by about 30%) and Golden Village cinemas at RM8 per adult, RM6 per child.

To my beloved nieces, Nazira, Syahirah & Syahidah...When you get to visit KL this June, please don't just go to Petaling St/Masjid India. You must go to Bt Bintang area, KLCC and MidValley shopping malls. Even if you don't have the very means to shop at these places (like me), go and absorb the atmosphere there. These places are so much more happening than our Orchard Rd/Marina. Nazira, you like to food-hop so much, right? These three places that I mentioned would be ideal for you. I'm so looking forward to my next KL trip; just hubby and me. Don't know when. Must work hard and earn the $ first. The boys love KL so much that they even pestered the Daddy and I to move to KL for good. See how lah.

It's sad that I don't have a digicam to upload the KL pics here. Trust me...KL is beautiful. Didn't see any boh sia though, but saw loads of bapoks, lembuts and butches.

KL....here i come...

Allo allo! Been too lazy to update. Whatever new design, photos, skin, whatever, u see on my blog, all courtesy of my niece, the ever-helpful Halimazatul Nazira Nazir..She creates this blog for me and she updates the designs & upload the photos for me..Only the posts are originally moi.

Just a short post..Will be in KL with hubby & our 3 boys on 13-15 Mar 06. Why KL? I also don't know. Can't think of anywhere else to take the boys to during the school holiday. Anyway, since I have a travel voucher that will expire end this month, just go anywhere lah.

At last, a friend whom I have known since we were 13 years old, ties the knot today. Congrats, Siti Marsita! Welcome onboard THE MARRIAGE BOAT! (Something like THE LOVE BOAT lah).

With regards to the KL trip, I hope I don't make the wrong decision in leaving Aryna in the hands of the maid at Hotel 944. But, the hotel owner will be around 24-hours to monitor situations. And, the hotel owner's daughter has said that she wants to take Aryna out for jalan-jalan. So nice lah this hotelier & family. I can't take the maid along cos that will mean extra expenses for an extra hotel room & an extra seat on the coach/train and extra extra everywhere else. For your info, even the hotelier's mother, who is away at this point of time, will be back to Hotel 944 tomorrow to keep Aryna company.

Time for bed now..Cos have to wake up at 6am tomorrow..By the way, the hotel owner's husband will be chauffering us to the coach stand. Didn't I say they are nice people?

Ramadhan...going, going....NOT GONE YET..Relax!

I didn't realise that I have not been updating my blog for more than 2 months. Not that I forgot that I have a blog, but I would rather read the blogs of others to unwind myself.

This whole month of Ramadhan, I can count my sales appointments and the number of times I have entered my office with my fingers. I've been in hibernate mode, almost completely shut-down. Ramadhan...What better than to stay at home and...SLEEP...Zzzzz. Puasa pe..lepak lah. But didn't really lepak lah. On and off, I did go to Geylang (in the day), JB and not forgetting, the URS & Elle shoes-warehouse sale! Now I'm looking forward to go to Bossini and Hush Puppies warehouse sales. I believe I can get great bargains for stuff that I need from these kind of sales. Like the two pairs of shoes I bought from the URS sale. I'm not rich lah, that's why I can only afford to make my purchases during warehouse sales. HAHA!

My eldest son, Aqil, has just finished sitting for his final-year exam. I grilled him, drilled him, for the two weeks prior to his exam...Finally, it's over. Now I just hope and pray that his results will not annoy me. Overall, he's been a good boy. He's been fasting. He didn't fast just twice in the early part of Ramadhan. During his exam period, I, being a concerned mother, told him not to wake up at 4.30am for the sahur and need not fast at all cos I was worried he might be too tired to sit for his papers. But he personally wanted to sahur and fast as usual. His second brother, a month-plus more to becoming 6-years-old, also fasts. But this fella, a bit drama in the beginning. I think he didn't fast for 5 or 6 days. Then he got the momentum after that. He's been fasting and performing his solat diligently without me having to remind. I pray that he'll remain like this forever. It's not easy to shuffle my time and energy among 4 children. People think I have an easy life as I have a maid. Yeah..to a certain extent but...Nah...she only reduces my burden of doing housework. She's not that good at handling children. And, I don't know what she has against Aqil. She seems to hate him. It's mutual though. He hates her too. He keeps on pestering me to send her back and get a replacement. There is a certain person who keeps on repeating that I've been lazy since young and that's why I need a maid. Honestly, I have no problem doing housework and all the cooking myself. The truth is I need the maid more to look after my children when I am out. Of course, the maid can't have that very easy life, right? I mean, she can't just be looking after children, right? So, as per all other maids, she must do housework lah. This maid of mine has planned to continue her service with me. She didn't tell me personally but via Kak Long. As at today, my husband and I still insist that she will NOT return for a second term. Her housekeeping is not up to my standard and she simply can't get along with Aqil. Unless she makes a 180-degree turn in the way she works and handles kids, she will have to go back for good when her term expires in July 06.

Hari Raya is just 3 days away. My room is still in a mess, I have not completed Aryna's beaded bags, I have not gone to the bank to exchange $$ for kids' ang pow, I have not been doing anything! But I managed to give my living room a new colour. Of course, my maid did 70% of the painting lah. I did the balance. My husband? He's been working without off-day this past 1 week. He hasn't been feeling well since yesterday but he refuses to take MC. That's why the ladies of the house have to do the painting. Overall, this Ramadhan has been a good one for me. Earlier, it seemed that it took so long to reach 1 Syawal. But now, I am just so happy to know that it's just 3 days away. I'm tired of waking up at 4.30am everyday cos I can hardly go back to sleep.

So much more to write after 2 months of not writing but I think I better sign off now. I'll reserve the rest of my diary for the next entry. Time to Zzzzzz.

What a Week...

My daughter, the one n only...We were going for Tahlil and she was wearing a hand-me-down kebaya. She sure thought she looked pretty in it cos she kept on pointing to herself and saying "A-tek A-tek, ni A-tek" (cantik, cantik, ni cantik)...

This week really sucks. Made so many appointments from Mon to Wed, thinking that I could spend time with my eldest son on Thur to Fri. I did my calculation. I knew my commission was going to come out by Thur, if not, Fri. A few hundreds of dollars. Somehow, I got played out by my company. I will only get the $$ at the end of the month. So, I'll just have to learn not to make plans in advance next time.

Today, Saturday, boring as usual. Husband working afternoon shift, kids playing with their cousins...For the first time since god-knows-when, I actually have a sales appointment on a Saturday. Just a short appointment at Woodlands cos this gal just wants to sign up and go. Rezeki lah, mana boleh tolak, kan?

At 6pm, Aqil climbed up Kak Long's house gate, broke the plastic portion of the gate and cut himself. I didn't know that he cut himself. I was in the living room watching TV with my mum. Then, I heard something broke and my next-door sis came out of her flat and exclaimed. I went out and saw that this plastic broke into two pieces. I didn't check on my son's well-being but instead, I scolded him for being unruly and spoiling my sis' gate. Panjat-panjat, jengok-jengok ke bawah, nasib baik tak lost balance and fall seven floors down. HUH!!! I scolded him till he cried. Then I saw the fear in his eyes and he was shivering. I melted. I asked him if he hurt himself. He pulled up his shorts and we saw lots of blood oozing out of a 1-inch cut on his left knee cap. I panicked, he panicked and he cried even louder. I brought him into the living room, wet some tissue paper and clean the flowing blood. Wanted to take him to the clinic for proper cleaning and dressing but he refused. He was really scared. And I think, he was really in pain. What can I say? He had been warned not to climb, jump, fight, etc. Degil kan? Anak-anak, lain kali dengar cakap mak...

I long for a Saturday nite-out with my husband. Like the good old days. But (1) we have four young kids, kesian to leave them at home with just the maid...(2) husband is always working till very late...(3) getting older, so feel tired very easily. So now, the kids are all asleep and I'm waiting for husband to come back, that's why I have time to update my blog. Till the next update, take care, you fellow bloggers. Have a nice weekend!

Update Update

Now that I have my own blog, seems so lazy to update. I see others updating their blog almost daily. So I make an effort now lah, can?

On Saturday, we celebrated Afif's 3rd birthday. Nothing much happened. It wasn't a birthday bash or anything like that. It was just a simple affair. But as long as the birthday boy is happy, I am happy too.

Then yesterday, I must have been so tired after all the cooking and entertaining the day before, that I took two long naps. I just let the daddy entertain the kids while I was in slumberland. Thanks, Dear, for taking care of and making sure the kids had their lunch while I slept.

Juz now, I came back from work at 10pm. There was a notice from the neighbourhood police pasted at my void deck, at lift lobby. It alerted residents of a male Indian man who has been going around in the middle of the nite in the neighbourhood, MOLESTING. He would do his act at the staircase landings. I got scared all of a sudden. Though my void deck is always full of people (the ah pek's shop closes very late), but once I'm at the 11th floor, I have to walk a long way before I reach the staircase to my flat on 12th floor. As there is a suspected drug addict staying on the 11th floor, I tend to walk as fast as I can everytime. But just now I didn't walk. I ran. Haha! Like a mad woman.

Aargh!! Better to talk about my kids. Aqil doesn't have to go to school this Thur n Fri cos the P6 students are having PSLE oral exams. So I asked him where we should go to spend time. He asked if the whole family can stay in a hotel...Like his parents print money, yeah? Anyway, in case my commission comes out by Thur, I'm planning to book either a chalet or bbq pit for this Friday. Jia, adeq, akaq...take note! But if this happens, potluck, please...

Aryna is fast memorising the lyrics to "I Dream-Taufik Batisah". Akmal n Afif already managed to memorise most of it. Terrible lah, my kids. Everyday, they want to watch this MTV. Especially Aryna. It's like a daily fix for her now. She just turned 18 mths old yesterday. At this age, she's already choosing her own clothes to wear. And, she always chooses the sleeveless or the spaghetties. Even at bedtime. Luckily, her mother is me..If it's my eldest sister, she sure die lah...>>Jia.

Just received an e-mail from sis-in-law in London. Husband wants to use the PC to reply her now. Hope to update my blog soon.....

Pedicure oh Pedicure

I was all excited about my very 1st pedi session that I didn't sleep well last nite. My frens told me a lot of fantastic stuff abt pedi. Alas, after spending $28 n 45 mins of my precious time, I realise it's not that great. Nothing to shout about. I'd rather go for a hairwash + head massage. At least, I get to take my bloody headache.

Guess what? Now that I have a blog, I begin to feel lazy about updating it. Cos everyday, for me, is very routine n mundane. Now that Aqil (1st son) is gonna have his madrasah test this Sat, I am more stressed. He's always been a bright boy but his "M" (a.k.a MALAS) sickness is hard to cure. I dont' expect him to get distinctions (well, if dapat pun bagus jugak), but at least, score some good marks lah. Aiyah, stress lah...People say that children born from mixed parentage are usually smart, witty n bright. Yeah, I agree. But if d "M" sickness has uprooted, even a brighter than bright child can become stu**d. Agree? So, I muz spend more time with him to motivate him to study well, instead of spending my time updating my blog. Haha...

Ok, got to go..Aryna is busy "cleaning up" my dressing-table now. See if I have time to update further later.

M.I.A.

Know what's M.I.A? That's Missing In Action lah..My office secretary actually called me and asked what happened to me. I juz realised that I haven't been to my office for a week now. Juz too damn lazy to drive, find carpark, then if carpark full, have to wait...urgh!! Stay at home better. At least I can spend time with my kiddies and do my never-ending paperwork.

Eversince I started attending this weekly religious class at Assyakirin, I feel reali good cos I learn a lot of new things. Ustaz pun klakar. Fyi, he's an eligible bachelor....so sesiapa yang single, you go gal! Every Tue is also bonding time with my mum cos she comes along to the mosque, plus my two elder sisters. My mum is very conservative when comes to parenting (no hugs, no kisses, no bedtime stories, etc.) so I didn't reali spend so much time with her when I was younger. But juz tell her what I feel like eating and the very next day, she would call me and tell me that the food is ready for my collection. That's my mum; that's the way she shows her love.

I'm different. I'm a modern mum. I shower my four children with lots of hugs n kisses. Not to mention our one-to-one sessions. But sometimes I get mad at them. Too mad cos they (the boys) love to play "wrestling" and "ultraman vs monster" with one another. When one loses the battle, he will cry, scream, wail, whatever. Bingit kan? Aryna will then be my assistant. She will 'nag' n 'scold' her brothers. Like juz now, she actually took a badminton racket to beat up Aqil, my eldest boy. Terror betul lah minah ni...

Nothing much happened over the last weekend. On Saturday, I gave tuition to a few nieces and nephews. Then I tried to bake "Kuih Nona Manis". But, it didn't turn out to be what I wanted. Gotta try again soon. I've learnt to make doughnuts too. Wanna try? Buzz me...it's 40cents-a-piece. Haha! Joking lah. I'm juz happy to see my hard-work being appreciated by others, especially my husband...Then on Sunday, my husband and I brought all our four children out for lunch and lepak-lepak at Far East Plaza. It was so enjoyable, to be going out as a family without the MAID around. I told husband that we juz have to do this again and always.

Ok, gotta go. Need a breath of fresh air..at Jurong Point...Jia's giving me a treat. Best!

Been a long time

Look at my princess! Mulut comot. She's Aryna Marsya.

It's really been a long time since I last "touched" my blog. Having to send my first two boys to school, entertain the two younger ones, then cook, pick the two boys back from school, help them with their homework, then get ready to go to work...ah, really a handful. But alhamdulillah, I managed. Itulah namanya seorang ibu...

I am really waiting for my niece to come over to my place and help me put in some nice designs on my blog. Nazira...cepat datang!!! I want to upload the latest photos of my kids, especially those of my princess. She's the youngest and the only girl in the family, so, naturally she gets to have the most photo-taking sessions.

My car is in ICU-condition. I dare not set any appointment with any client these few days till my husband is free to check what is wrong. Huh! Ada kereta susah, takde kereta pun susah...Got to go now...My princess wants to sing "I Dream".

My youngest sis was here

I was juz thinkin of her yesterday....Somehow she appeared at my house just now, together with my mum, eldest sis, 6th sis and my eldest bro-in-law. She said she's expecting her 1st baby. That's good news. When she wanted to go back, she hugged our Mum and Mum cried. Mum mumbled something to her but though I was seated nearby, I couldn't figure out what was spoken...
